Stockton University’s American Democracy Project/Political Engagement Project will host two free, public lectures focusing on topics related to the Green New Deal from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, and Monday, Oct. 28. as a part of its “Climate Change and the Green New Deal” lecture series.
The theme of the Oct. 24 lecture is “Lessons from Sandy: Examining the Local Effects of the Green New Deal," and will be presented by the New Jersey Organizing Project and Stockton Assistant Professor of Sociology Christina Jackson. It will take place at the Stockton Atlantic City Academic Center, 3711 Atlantic Ave, in the Fannie Lou Hamer Event Room.
The theme of the Oct. 28 lecture is “The Science of the Green New Deal," and will be presented by Ron Hutchison, Stockton associate professor of biology, and Patrick Hossay, Stockton associate professor of sustainability. It will be held in the Campus Center Theatre on the Galloway campus.
