Trenton, NJ - Kim Case has been promoted to president of CN Communications International, the Chatham-based marketing and public relations that serves clients in New Jersey and New York. Case, who has served as vice president for the past 12 years, will take over the operational management of the company and oversee its strategic direction, effective Wednesday. Anthony Cicatiello, who founded the company in 1977, will continue to serve as chairman and CEO. Cicatiello said Case is the perfect person for the role.
“For more than 40 years, CN has been at the forefront of media relations, government affairs and association management in New Jersey and across the region,” he said. “Much of our recent success is due to Kim Case’s steadfast advocacy, strategic support and dedication to our clients.
“Kim has a vision for our company’s growth that will continue to deliver for CN clients and future clients. I am thrilled to pass the reins of president of CN to Kim and to watch as she realizes this vision.”
Case, who graduated from Rutgers University before earning a master’s degree from Pace University and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School in Newark, started her career at CN as an intern. She returned to the firm in 2009, where she has positioned herself as a leading voice for education, STEM initiatives and business relations in the state.

Case currently serves as executive director of the Research & Development Council of New Jersey, a CN client. During her time at CN, Case has been recognized as one of the 50 Best Women in Business and by both the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey and Association for Women in Science-New Jersey for her outstanding leadership in the STEM advocacy field.
She said she is eager to take on the new role.
“CN has been a major part of my professional life since starting as an intern while at Rutgers and returning as its vice president more than a decade ago,” Case said. “I have learned so much about strategic communications, client relations and business from Tony Cicatiello, and am grateful to him for this new opportunity.
“I am honored to be taking on the role of president of CN and look forward to driving the company to even greater levels in the future.”
Before entering law school, Case participated in Teach for America, a nonprofit organization that enlists the nation’s most promising future leaders to grow and strengthen the movement for educational equity and excellence. For her assignment, she taught middle school in the Bronx. After law school, she practiced law as a litigation associate.
She presently serves as vice president of the Long Hill School District board of education, on the Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Jersey board of trustees and on the advisory board for the Institute for Women’s Leadership at Rutgers University. She previously served on Gov.-elect Phil Murphy’s Education, Access, and Opportunity Transition Committee and is a LEAD NJ alumna.
While at Rutgers, Case was the student representative to the board of governors and undergraduate student representative to the board of trustees.
