Rutgers Food Innovation Center Director To Speak On Best Practices In Food Business Incubation

Bridgeton, NJ - Lou Cooperhouse, director of the Rutgers Food Innovation Center, a globally recognized food business incubation program, will be presenting his research on best practices in food industry entrepreneurship development and business incubation at two leading national conferences during the month of September 2015. Cooperhouse will be a presenter of a half-day intensive training session on “Building Sustainable Food Incubators and Accelerators” at the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) Training Institute, which will be held from September 8-11 in Orlando, FL.

JPMorgan Chase Launches Institute With Report on Income Volatility

New York, NY - U.S consumers are subject to a high degree of income volatility and have insufficient savings to overcome shortfalls in their budgets, according to the inaugural report of the JPMorgan Chase Institute. Because of the mismatch between income volatility and consumer spending habits, the authors suggest there is ample room for innovation in the market for companies that help consumers with medium-term financial decision making.

New Brunswick, NJ - The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) and the HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) will present a business roundtable, “Life Sciences and New Jersey’s Innovation Ecosystem,” on Tuesday, June 23 from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. at NJPAC at One Center Street, Newark, NJ. New Jersey Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno will open the event with remarks.  Elected as the state’s first Lieutenant Governor in 2009, Guadagno leads the Christie Administration’s efforts to improve New Jersey's economic vitality, encourage job growth, streamline government and make businesses feel welcome again in New Jersey.

NJEDA Executive in Residence: Catherine Abbadie, PhD

Trenton, NJ - The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) last week unveiled its inaugural Executive-in-Residence appointees.  This group of highly-skilled life sciences professionals will mentor and advise emerging companies at EDA’s Commercialization Center for Innovative Technologies (CCIT) in North Brunswick.  The Executive-in-Residence program was created in collaboration with BioNJ. Over the next few weeks, NJEDATech will delve into the back-stories of the six Executives-in-Residence; first up, Catherine Abbadie, PhD, of Princeton.
