NJEDA Helping to Build New Jersey’s Technology Ecosystem

Trenton, NJ - The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) today continues its series highlighting how entrepreneurs and investors are helping to build New Jersey’s technology ecosystem. With a career spanning more than 30 years, John Bailye, of Far Hills, has been involved with dozens of startup companies, venture funds and entrepreneurial endeavors. Of his notable accomplishments in New Jersey is Dendrite International.

Woodbridge, NJ - Michael Diamond covered a great article regarding the high tech start up scene in New Jersey. "How does New Jersey ensure a fair share of that innovation happens here? Investor John Ason, a Westfield resident, said it isn't easy. New Jersey doesn't have a central hub like New York City that attracts investors, entrepreneurs and talented investors in a tight-knit cluster. But he networked at the New Jersey Technology Council event, keeping his eyes open."

NJTC honors NJ Tech Companies at annual celebration

Iselin, NJ, December 1, 2014 – Last month, the New Jersey Tech Council hosted their annual NJTC Awards Celebration, honoring New Jersey based tech leaders and companies for their innovative accomplishments, partnerships and collaborations.

According to the New Jersey Business Magazine, “The 2014 NJTC Awards Celebration, held on November 20, 2014 at the Renaissance Woodbridge, Iselin, honored New Jersey technology companies and their leaders for their business accomplishments in technological collaboration, partnership and innovation. The Celebration was a high energy evening with more than 500 attendees from the region.”

“Maxine Ballen, founder, NJTC was presented with the newly renamed Ballen-Martinson Technology Supporter award. In her acceptance speech, she thanked those who encouraged and supported her in forming the trade association and who have helped grow the organization over the past 19 years. Ms. Ballen also introduced the new President and CEO, James Barrood, who will lead NJTC 2.0.”

The 2014 Gala winners included:

  • ETS received the Master Technology Company Award
  • Verisk Analytics received the Public Company Award
  • TRAC Intermodal received the Private Company Award
  • PayCommerce, Inc. received the Innovative Technology Company Award
  • Marketsmith, Inc. received the Impact Company of the Year Award
  • Cancer Genetics, Inc. received the Trailblazer Award
  • Corielle Life Sciences received the Rising Star Award
  • NIKSUN Inc. received the Outstanding Technology Development Award
  • Miele Professional USA received the Consumer Product Award
  • CytoSorbents Corporation received the Beacon of Light Award
  • Maxine Ballen received the John H. Martinson Technology Supporter Award
  • Stuart Peltz, Ph.D. received the Legend of Technology Award
  • Thomas Edison State College received the Knowledge is Power Award
  • U.S. Senator Cory Booker received the Legislative Champion Award
