Branchburg, NJ - According to Andrew Sheldon of NJBiz, "Things are about to get even easier for honors students who hope to transfer from Raritan Valley Community College to Drew University: Both schools will be entering an agreement to provide seamless credit transfer and scholarship funds to RVCC's Honors Program graduates who wish to pursue a baccalaureate at Drew. RVCC President Michael McDonough said the agreement is unique in its comprehensive nature."
“The agreement with Drew University underscores the prestige and value of the college’s Honors College and honors courses,” he said in a news release. “Students who master the rigorous honors courses will now be rewarded with a wonderful opportunity to continue their education at a university that is highly regarded for its liberal arts education. Not only will students enjoy the benefits of a seamless transfer of credits to an outstanding university, they also will receive significant scholarships to help them pursue their educational goals.”

Similarly, Robert Massa, Drew’s senior vice president for enrollment, said this agreement expands beyond the regular articulation agreement.

Similarly, Robert Massa, Drew’s senior vice president for enrollment, said this agreement expands beyond the regular articulation agreement.

“Most private college/community college relationships are somewhat tacit — based on course-by-course articulations,” he said. “This arrangement is an active one, where key relationships between advisers at Drew and prospective students at RVCC will be cultivated throughout the students’ years at the community college, making their transfer to Drew seamless.

Students with a GPA of 3.75 or higher will receive $25,000 in scholarships, while students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher will receive $20,000. Those who maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher will receive $15,000 in scholarships.
