The Hudson County high school students were awarded gold medals after presenting their projects at the showcase -- which for decades was known as The Jersey Journal Hudson County Science Fair -- on Monday. Approximately 300 local students in grades 5 through 12 participated in the event at LSC.
The gold medalists will now present their projects during a round of "super judging" tomorrow at Liberty Science Center from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Additional sponsors include Liberty Science Center, New Jersey City University, Fidelity Investments, and Comcast.
