The event brought together 300 regional biopharma executives, investors, academic liaisons and business development professionals from the region for a day of education, networking and collaboration.
“We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of last week’s event,” said BioNJ President and CEO Debbie Hart.
“The main purpose of the Conference is to provide a venue for the region to come together to foster new collaboration opportunities,” Hart continued. “The energy throughout the day as new innovation and business endeavors were discussed was absolutely palpable.”
“J.P. Morgan is committed to serving and supporting the region’s life sciences companies, executives and entrepreneurs,” said Alma DeMetropolis, President, New Jersey Market Leadership Team Market Manager.
“It was our honor to spend the day with such dynamic industry leaders, and we look forward to continued partnership in developing a robust life sciences ecosystem.”
The full-day agenda included plenary sessions, partnering, networking, exhibits and company presentations.
J.P. Morgan executives, including Robert Huffines, Global Chairman of Investment Banking; Philip Ross, Managing Director Healthcare Investment Banking; Michael Griffin, Managing Director and Investment Specialist; Holly Fleiss, Healthcare Equity Analyst; and Alma DeMetropolis, President, New Jersey Market Leadership Team Market Manager, shared valuable insights on the status and pulse of the industry.
Additionally, the program featured a panel discussion led by biopharma leaders on the current economic, political and social landscape around capital formation and deal making; the innovation and opportunities available through several of our region’s premier academic and research institutions and company presentations from organizations with emerging technologies.
“We thank our speakers, sponsors, planning team, judges, company and institution exhibitors and all who attended for making this event such a success,” said Linda Brown, BioNJ, Vice President of Engagement.
“We are excited to bring all the stakeholders from the region together to build new partnerships, create rewarding opportunities and most of all foster future medical innovation,” Brown said.
