Montclair, NJ – Yewande Adebayo, founder of Bella Works, Iram Ganju, president and CEO of IKG Global Consultants, Zora Kassaii, CEO and president of Rush Graphics Inc. and Jatinder Singh, owner of Account Vision will be sharing their struggles as women entrepreneurs who grew up in a foreign country in a panel discussion at the Feliciano Center for Entrepreneurship of Montclair State University on March 30th.
One grew up in a traditional household in Pakistan, where all that was expected of her was that she get married one day. Another felt she could not return home to Iran after a regime change. One battled epilepsy and was shunned by extended family in India because she was born a girl. Another grew up in a war-torn area of Liberia, and suffered her own personal war later as a victim of domestic violence. These four women overcame these challenges--and more--to become successful entrepreneurs in New Jersey.
The event also includes a keynote address by Narjis Ali, president of OPEN (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America) DC who will talk about her journey as an entrepreneur, including risks taken, lessons learned and next steps.
