Each of the 10 traditional four-year colleges and Thomas Edison State University would see flat funding, sharing about $700 million in state aid.
Unlike New Jersey's K-12 school funding, there's no special formula that determines how much each college gets.
State funding for colleges is based largely on how much schools have received in the past, regardless of enrollment growth or other changes on campus.
Here is how much each college is slated to receive in the governor's proposed budget.
- Thomas Edison State University: $3.3 million
- Ramapo College: $15 million
- Stockton University: $18.4 million
- New Jersey City University: $24.2 million
- The College of New Jersey: $27.2 million
- William Paterson University: $30.4 million
- Kean University: $30.5 million
- New Jersey Institute of Technology: $35.4 million
- Montclair State University: $35.9 million
- Rowan University: $85.4 million
- Rutgers University: $394 million
