The university will receive discounted pricing from the electronics giant — which has offices in Park Ridge — in purchasing equipment for the communications school and other areas of the university, including a nursing school that will launch in the fall, said Jack Shannon, vice president for university advancement.
"This is a tremendous opportunity to partner with one of the world's technology leaders," he said, adding that he anticipates Montclair State will spend "several million" to purchase equipment but will receive substantial benefits in return.
