The event, “Providing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) for All in an Era of Tightening Budgets,” was hosted by the university’s Center for Pre-College Programs.
Discussion centered on how to design STEM programs that work, as well as on how to bring world-class opportunities to middle and high school classrooms through STEM partnerships.
The distinguished panel of experts included:
- Victor Demming, school business administrator for East Orange Public Schools;
- Leonard H. Elovitz, retired superintendent of schools, and associate professor of educational leadership at Kean University;
- Stephanie Suriano, supervisor of science, K-12, for the West Orange School District.
