Trenton, NJ ― The New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA) hosted a joint policy committee meeting to discuss Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education on June 1.
All members of the Education & Workforce Development Policy Committee as well as the Innovation and Technology Policy Committee were invited to attend the meeting at Middlesex Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences in Woodbridge.
Assemblywoman Mila Jasey (D-27) was the meeting’s guest speaker. Assemblywoman Jasey is an education leader and former school board member, and has has spent many years working in the area of K-12 and higher education.
Assemblywoman Jasey is chair of the Assembly Higher Education and vice-chair of the Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee. She also serves on the Assembly Education Committee and the Joint Committee on the Public Schools.
The Assemblywoman was followed by a STEM panel discussion on ways New Jersey is addressing this issue.
