In this role, Tangert will serve to enhance and expand the role of the iLab by working with companies and government agencies to develop, design, and deploy vetted solutions for field applications.
Before assuming his new role, Tangert served in a variety of positions with Lockheed Martin Corp.
Tangert spent his career working on various aspects of complex systems (design, test, integration and fielding) and served in numerous leadership roles.
Tangert ran several engineering organizations, led numerous projects and had strategic responsibilities in R&D and talent development.
The challenges facing New Jersey and the country are complex and interconnected and need to be considered in the totality of a single system rather than in isolated domains.”

Tangert received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
