Newark, NJ - The New Jersey Innovation Institute, (NJII), an NJIT Corporation that applies the intellectual and technological resources of the state’s science and technology university to challenges identified by industry partners, has received three TechConnect 2015 National & Global Innovation Awards.
NJII received the awards for NJIT patents invented by faculty members Dr. Som Mitra’s Carbon Nanotube Membrane for Sea, Brackish and Frack Water Desalination; Dr. Ecevit Bilgili’s Surfactant-Free Nanocomposite Microparticles for Fast Redispersion and Dissolution of Active Nanoparticle Agents; and Dr. Pushpendra Singh’s Thin Films with Self-Assembled Monolayers Embedded on their Surfaces. These and two other NJII technologies will be featured at the NJII booth (622) at TechConnect 2015 (June 15-17) at the Gaylord National Convention Center, National Harbor, MD.
TechConnect is a global technology outreach and development organization that vets and delivers the world’s most promising technologies to top global corporate, government and investment developers. The TechConnect National & Global Innovation Awards identify the top 20% of submitted technologies as ranked by the TechConnect Corporate & Investment Partner Committee.
Innovation rankings are based on the potential positive impact the submitted technology will have on a specific industry sector. Innovations are submitted from global academic technology transfer offices, early-stage companies, small business innovative research (SBIR) awardees, and government and corporate research laboratories.
