The aim of the program is to get high schoolers excited about learning and going to college.
Four students from NJIT’s Albert Dorman Honors College — Sarah Aldakhlallah, senior, biochemistry; Maryam Elhadad, junior, human-computer interaction; Urvya Iyer, senior, mathematics; and Taylor Tu, junior, computer science — are organizing the event, which will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to students in grades nine through 12.
College students are encouraged to attend and register as teachers and/or volunteers.
NJIT Splash will focus primarily on engineering, science, math and computer science, the humanities and the arts, and will feature both academic and nonacademic classes as well as collaborative and hands-on projects.

“There’s a class for everyone!” said John Bechtold, interim dean of the Honors College. “Splash will be a wonderful learning opportunity and creative college-campus experience for high school students, as well as a fun and worthwhile teaching opportunity for our students,”
The cost for Splash is $10, payable by credit card, or by cash/check upon check-in. To register, visit www.njitsplash.learningu.org.
