Newark, NJ - New Jersey Institute of Technology has been rated the 90th best public university in the U.S., according to rankings recently published by The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education (THE). The rankings apply a scorecard-based assessment of government data from more than 1,000 U.S. colleges, grading performance indicators such as university resources, student outcomes and campus environment. The latest rankings also measure public colleges based on student satisfaction data collected from more than 200,000 student surveys, featured in the THE U.S. Student Survey.
One of nation’s leading public polytechnic research universities, New Jersey’s oldest technological research universities, NJIT’s academic research expenditures exceed reached $140 million in 2017 . NJIT also ranksed #1 in the nation for the upward economic mobility realized by its graduates by The New York Times’ 2017 study of “America’s Great Working-Class Colleges” this year.
