Trenton, NJ - Forbes released its annual list of Top Colleges last week and three of New Jersey's academic institutions made the top 200. Princeton University ranked 4th, Rutgers University ranked 146th and The College of New Jersey ranked 182nd. Pomona College in California taking the top slot and Williams College and Stanford University listed as second and third, respectively.
The other Garden State colleges to make the rankings were:
226. Stevens Institute of Technology;
227. Drew University;
321. Seton Hall University;
370. New Jersey Institute of Technology;
454. Rowan University;
485. Rider University;
488. Montclair State University;
494. Fairleigh Dickinson University;
544. Stockton University.
The numbers represent each school’s ranking out of 650 total colleges on the Forbes list. There were nearly 2,000 four-year institutions in the U.S. as of 2012.
