Princeton, NJ — Michael Levine, the Anthony B. Evnin ’62 Professor in Genomics, is one of 65 outstanding life scientists elected June 16 to membership of EMBO.
EMBO is an organization of more than 1,700 leading researchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences.
The major goals of EMBO are to support researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulate the exchange of information, and help build a European research environment where scientists can achieve their best work.
Levine joins EMBO as one of nine associate members currently working in the United States and Japan.

Levine, who joined the Princeton faculty in 2015, is also a professor of molecular biology and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics, where he serves as director.
The work of the Levine Lab focuses on transcriptional regulation in Drosophila melanogaster and Ciona intestinalis.
Levine will be welcomed at the EMBO Members’ Meeting in Heidelberg, Germany, between Oct. 18-20.
