Hoboken, NJ — Andrew Sheldon reports in NJBIZ that the members of New Jersey's most innovative industries, from communications to pharmaceuticals, were dressed in black tie on November 3 to attend the Research & Development Council of New Jersey's 37th annual Edison Patent Awards at the Liberty Science Center.
The ceremony, hosted in the center’s IMAX dome, honored the innovators behind some of the most forward thinking patents filed in the state.
Opening the event, Council President Anthony Cicatiello said, “We are living in a time when the world is facing a set of challenges unique in human history where new technologies are disrupting businesses, economic models are adapting to a changing and global world and where things that once seemed impossible are suddenly tantalizingly within reach.
Cicatiello continued: “Just as Thomas Edison helped answer the biggest questions of his time, so are you helping to answer the biggest questions of our time.”
