Dr. Fenneberg’s first day in this newly created role will be Aug. 21. The cabinet level position was created to devise and initiate programs and strategies that add value to the student learning experience outside of the classroom.
“I am excited to work with Dr. Fenneberg and am confident that her devotion to student learning and success will complement and accelerate Rider’s unwavering focus on student growth and development,” Dell’Omo said.
As AVP in SLU’s Division of Student Development, Fenneberg helped increase retention, establish two student success centers, and develop and implement a division-wide strategic plan.
Through all of her activity at SLU, which enrolls about 13,000 students across 11 colleges and schools, she remained focused on student growth and development and the promotion of diversity and inclusion.
Fenneberg earned a bachelor’s in broadcast and electronic communication and psychology from Marquette University, a master’s in student personnel services from the University of South Carolina and a doctorate in higher education administration from SLU.
In addition to her administrative role, she also taught as an adjunct professor on the undergraduate and graduate level at SLU and served on several dissertation committees.
