New Brunswick, NJ - William Sanford Nye, also known as Bill Nye the Science Guy, will be among those who will speak at Rutgers University graduations next month. Bill Nye will deliver remarks at the flagship’s commencement at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway on Sunday, May 17.
Earl Lewis, president of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and an author and historian, will address graduates Monday, May 18, at Rutgers University-Newark’s ceremony at the Prudential Center.
Also speaking at Camden will be Bryan A. Stevenson, executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, who is recognized for representing capital defendants and death row prisoners in the Deep South.
The four speakers will also receive honorary degrees. Additionally, Rutgers will award an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in New Brunswick to Frances Fox Piven, the author and social scientist.
