Augusta, NJ — Do you have a taste for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics?  The STEM Barn at the New Jersey State Fair — from August 4 to 13 — is the right place for you.

Sponsored by Thorlabs and Mira Plastics Co., the Newton Robotics STEM Barn features the latest innovation created by high school students.

Newton High School’s robotics team Aperture will be running “Tobor Stephenson,” this year’s robot for the FIRST Robotics Competition Steamworks, a “Ra friendly robot named “Jane.” Demonstrations of the robots will run throughout the day.

There will be a 3D Printing Station where the “Jellybox” will 3D print little trinkets.
The STEM Barn will also feature a guest each day. Robotics teams from other high schools across the state will also demonstrate their robots and present their programs.

Kids Come FIRST, Newton Robotics’ STEM program for children, will be providing crafty activities on select days, coloring books and crayons, and robotics buttons for families.

Below is the events schedule for 2017. The STEM Barn will open at 10:00am and close at 10:00pm and is during the New Jersey State Fair/Sussex County Farm & Horse Show, which is located at 37 Plains Road, Augusta, NJ.
